Production methods

Even though there are many classifications in tea, they all come from one plant, the camellia plant, it is mainly the differences in the process of production that makes up for the different kinds of tea. Apart from the methods of productions there are more factors at play here, such as the natural environment, cultural background of the people, habits and likings, etc. These in turn also can determine which type of production is chosen for in a certain place and time. However the chart below shows how the fresh tea leaf evolves into different classes of tea.
